- 3 (320g) tilapia filets thawed
- sea salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 8 flour tortillas
- cooking spray
- lime wedges
- coleslaw such as my recipe for Southern Coleslaw
- cilantro
Instructions
- Spray the air fryer with olive oil or cooking spray and preheat it to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat dry the fish filets with paper towels and slice each filet into 2 pieces using a sharp knife.
- In a bowl, mix all spices and evenly sprinkle them on both sides of the fish pieces.
- Arrange the fish in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook an additional 2 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas in the air fryer for a few seconds or heat them in a non-stick skillet.
- Assemble the fish taco with the cooked fish, coleslaw, and cilantro.
Notes
Feel free to substitute tilapia with your preferred fish.
Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preference.
Crispy or grilled tortillas complement the fish beautifully.
