Description

Brighten up your breakfast with Bunny Pancakes! With simple ingredients like flour and milk, these pancakes are perfect for children’s parties or a playful morning treat. Their delightful presentation and pleasing taste will bring smiles to the whole family!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • banana slices for paws
  • small pat of butter (or whipped cream) for tail
  • raspberry jam for ears
  • maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and optional vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined; a few small lumps are fine.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour batter to create: one medium circle for the body, one slightly smaller circle for the head, two long oval shapes for the ears, and two small circles for the feet.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2–3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. On a large plate, place the large pancake as the body, add the smaller pancake on top for the head, and position the two ear pancakes above.
  8. Add the small circles at the bottom for feet and top them with banana slices.
  9. Place a small pat of butter as a 'tail' and spread raspberry jam on the ear pancakes for a pop of color.
  10. Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure the skillet is not too hot to prevent burning the pancakes.
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference, such as using fruit instead of jam.
