- 1 cup quartered pepperoni slices, (plus extra for topping)
- 2 cloves garlic, (finely minced)

- ½ cup water
- 1 lb penne or rotini pasta, (454 grams)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400℉ if baking right away.
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage, onion, and pepperoni over medium-high heat until the sausage is browned and the onion has softened.

- Stir in the marinara sauce and water. Bring to a simmer and then reduce the heat to low.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta just until al dente (about 1-2 minutes less than the required cook time). Drain the pasta.

- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan, adding extra pepperoni slices on top if desired. Bake for 15 minutes or until bubbly and heated through. Serve.
