Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup whipped topping like cool whip
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • gel food coloring seasonal colors, if desired
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for rolling


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, whipped topping, and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Divide the dough into several bowls and add your desired food coloring to each.
  4. If the dough feels sticky, chill it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Scoop out dough into 1-inch balls and roll generously in powdered sugar.
  6. Place the coated balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced adequately apart, and bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking pan for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
