Description
Treat yourself to Crispy Stir Fry Green Beans, a vibrant dish packed with fresh green beans and mushrooms. Easy to prepare and bursting with flavor, it’s perfect for a quick dinner or a healthy side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound green beans, ends trimmed
- ½ pound mushrooms, sliced thick
- 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds and chili flakes, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the green beans and stir often for about 4 minutes until slightly blistered and bright green.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3 minutes, allowing them to soften and release moisture while keeping the beans crisp.
- Lower the heat slightly, then add minced garlic and ginger. Stir constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant, avoiding any burning.
- Incorporate the soy sauce, oyster sauce, maple syrup, and sesame oil. Toss everything well to ensure the vegetables are evenly coated.
- Allow the sauce to bubble for 1-2 minutes until lightly thickened and glossy.
- Taste and season with salt and black pepper as desired.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chili flakes. Serve immediately while the beans remain slightly crisp.
Notes
Adjust the amount of garlic to suit your taste for a milder or stronger flavor.
For added heat, include more chili flakes or fresh chili.
This dish is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
