Description

This Flourless Chocolate Almond Cake Gluten Free is a delightful treat featuring rich chocolate and almond flavors. It’s easy to prepare, perfect for dessert lovers or anyone looking for a scrumptious gluten-free option.


Ingredients

  • 200 g ground almonds (almond meal or almond flour, 2 cups)
  • 100 g granulated sugar (½ cup)
  • 200 g milk chocolate (1 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 110 g melted butter (½ cup)
  • 25 g cocoa powder (2 tbsp)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
  2. Melt the milk chocolate until smooth, using an electric melting pot, a bowl over simmering water, or a microwave.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter over low heat.
  4. Combine the melted butter and chocolate in a large mixing bowl, whisking until smooth.
  5. Add sugar and whisk well.
  6. Crack in all the eggs and whisk again quickly for a thicker mixture.
  7. Mix in the ground almonds, cocoa powder, baking powder, and vanilla extract using a spatula.
  8. Line a 20 cm (8 inches) round cake tin with non-stick paper and pour in the batter evenly.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely.
  11. Dust with cocoa powder and decorate with fresh fruit if desired.
