Description

Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ small red onion, diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped finely
  • ¼ cup cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado using a fork until it's a mix of chunky and smooth.
  3. Mix in the fresh lime juice until blended.
  4. Stir in the salt, cumin, minced garlic, diced red onion, cilantro, and tomatoes. Gently combine.
  5. If you like a kick, add diced jalapeño to the mixture.
  6. Taste and adjust salt as needed. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Notes

For a twist, try adding diced mangos for a sweet flavor.
Keep guacamole fresh by pressing plastic wrap against the surface before refrigeration.
