This Jalapeno Cheddar Beer Bread is the perfect blend of savory and cheesy goodness. It’s easy to prepare, making it an excellent choice for quick dinners or cozy gatherings. - 3 cups bread flour or all purpose flour
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided use
- ½ cup diced jalapenos plus more slices for top of bread
- 12 ounces beer any brand will work, we used Shiner Bock
- ¼ cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and coat with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Set aside 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese. Mix the rest of the shredded cheddar with the diced jalapenos.
- Add the beer and melted butter to the mixture.
- Stir until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Top with the reserved shredded cheese and additional jalapeno slices, if desired.
- Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the loaf from the pan and let it cool slightly on a wire rack.
- Slice and serve warm with butter and a drizzle of honey, or enjoy at room temperature.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using a bold beer.
Ensure the jalapenos are finely diced for even distribution.
