Description

Experience the delightful taste of Lazy Man’s Peach Cobbler. This easy recipe combines juicy peaches, rich butter, and a creamy batter, perfect for a comforting dessert to share with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream or milk
  • 2 20-ounce jars or cans of peaches in regular or light syrup juice reserved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and melt the butter in a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Reserve the juice and transfer the peaches to a cutting board. Slice them into 1/2-inch pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the self-rising flour and sugar.
  4. Blend in the heavy whipping cream until combined. Pour the batter over the melted butter, spreading slightly without mixing.
  5. Distribute the peach slices evenly on top of the batter, then drizzle with 1/2 cup of the reserved juice.
  6. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or fresh whipped cream.

Notes

For a sweeter cobbler, add more sugar to the batter.
This dish pairs well with vanilla ice cream for added flavor.
You can use fresh peaches if they’re in season for a fresher taste.
