Description

Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole is a delightful dish featuring tender chicken enveloped in a creamy sauce, topped with crunchy Ritz crackers. This recipe combines simplicity with taste, making it an ideal choice for a quick weeknight dinner or comfort food that everyone will enjoy.


Ingredients

  • 4 ½ to 5 cups chicken breasts – cooked and shredded or chopped
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon black pepper – or to taste
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon kosher salt – to taste, this will greatly depend on how your chicken is seasoned
  • 1 ½ sleeves ritz crackers – you can use 2 sleeves for extra crunch
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter – melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉ and lightly spray a 9 X 13 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cooked and shredded chicken to the bowl and stir to combine.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with melted butter until well blended.
  6. Spread the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
  7. Bake the casserole uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it’s bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, add two sleeves of Ritz crackers.
