Ingredients

  • 2½ cups watermelon juice
  • ½ cup tequila (8 ounces)
  • ¼ cup triple sec
  • ⅓ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • 1 cup coarse salt for rims
  • Limes for garnish


Instructions

  1. Blend cubed ripe watermelon until juiced, yielding about 3-5 cups. Strain if desired.
  2. For frozen margaritas, freeze 2½ cups of watermelon juice until solid.
  3. To prepare glasses, rub lime wedges on the rim and dip in coarse salt.
  4. In a pitcher, mix the watermelon juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup. Stir until well combined.
  5. For frozen margaritas, add watermelon ice cubes to the blender with other ingredients and blend until smooth.
  6. Pour the mix into prepared glasses and garnish with lime.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the agave syrup based on your sweetness preference.
Extra watermelon juice can be stored in the fridge for later use.
